FAQ's

Yes, tuck everything in - you’ll just need to find a place for your pillows.

The bedding is tucked in at the end and the bed hangs vertically.  Also the leg bar comes across before you close the bed and there is a Velcro strap if required.

No, we can custom make you cabinets if you want a different size and style.

No as a normal coat hanger is approx. 400mm wide and the internal measurement of our cabinet is only 340mm.  You would need a 600mm wide cabinet to hang clothes.

Our normal processing times are 3-4 weeks in the factory and an extra few days to allow for delivery and installation (depending on location).

Yes. A Sleepyhead Wayfarer mattress which is an inner sprung mattress is included in the price of the bed.

We prefer that you use ours as our mattresses are specifically manufactured for our beds   and the weight and size have been designed to work with our beds.

Yes.  We guarantee the product for 10 years in the domestic environment and 5 years in the commercial environment.

Talk to us about the height as a plug is handy if you want to use electric blankets.  The plug is better to be inside the bed unit so you don’t need to unplug the electric blankets every time you close the bed.

Speak to us about your plans and will work with your builder or joiner to support him with the outcome you require.

Not normally.  Our mechanisms are highly sprung and become dangerous if you are not educated on how to install them however the Tiltaway Lite version is a great option for a handyman.

Apart from the bed cabinet, it also includes a Wayfarer mattress and installation in to your home.

We will talk to you about the access to the room the bed and furniture is going in, along with your location for deliveries and if you meet the requirements, we can assemble your unit in full at this end and freight it to you as a complete unit.

Yes, we have two upgrades options available that are both Torquezone mattresses.

We have 130 colours and textures to choose from. We use colours from the Bestwood, Laminex and Prime Panel ranges. If you’re stuck give us a call & we will courier you the latest range with a return bag.

We offer a service to shift the bed for you.  In 80% of situations we can get the bed out of the room but it is something that one of our Tiltaway fitters needs to be involved with.

We have special little brackets that hold the bed to the wall.  No extra framing is required.  We find the existing studs or can use masonry fixings. There are 3 top brackets and two bottom brackets.

Our Tiltaway Beds are best of breed and a small child or elderly person can lift the bed with no effort.

Yes they are.  In the USA and Europe they are known as ‘Murphy Beds’.  Our beds are the genuine product from the Canadian and North American Manufacturer Murphy Wall Beds Inc.
