The Tiltaway Lite is a great option for those who want the best quality and comfort in a wall bed, but are happy to assemble, install and build the surrounding cabinetry themselves.
Tiltaway Beds will deliver your fold away bed flat packed with full assembly instructions and our helpful customer service team is always on hand if you have any questions!
Please note: As can be seen on the images above the legs for the Tiltaway Lite fold back onto the face of the bed. As such this bed is unable to have cabinetry attached to this face. This DIY kit is more suited to a situation where it is in a cupboard, or behind a curtain if you would like it to be hidden away.
Every Tiltaway DIY LITE Bed Includes:
- A Next Bed kit with all parts needed to assemble including metal Bed Frame, Bed Slats, Shoes for Slats and other hardware required to assembly and install.
- 5 Year Residential Warranty
- Full assembly and installation instructions
The Next Bed kit does not include any cabinetry.
Optional Extras:
- Sleepyhead Hotelier Mattress, with upgrade to Sleepyhead Executive, or Executive Plush on request

Here is the Tiltaway quick six step process so your fold away bed can be built and installed in no time!
Step One:
- Measure the space where you would like your Tiltaway Bed to go, then pick a bed size to fit.
- Alternatively - If you are uncertain about what will fit, email us photos and measurements of the room and we will be happy to help.
Step Two:
- Call, or email, us for a comprehensive quote.
- During this communication we will take the time to discuss your location so we can advise you on the delivery cost for your location. We will then send out a quote.
Step Three:
- Carefully read over the supplied quote. If you are happy and you would like to go ahead then pleases let us know. If there are any changes you would like to make, now is the time.
- Once we have heard from you you would like to move forward we can send you an invoice for your Tiltaway Lite Bed.
- Payment in full is required prior to dispatch.
Step Four:
- Allow approximately 1-2 weeks from the time we receive your deposit for your Lite DIY package to be delivered. If you also require a mattress this may take 2-3 weeks for delivery and will be delivered separately direct from Sleepyhead. Lead times are subject to change and can be influenced by conditions outside of our control. Contact our team direct for current lead times.
Step Five:
- Assembly and Install your Tiltaway LITE Bed! Our team are happy to help with any questions that may arise during installation.
